Whilst trying to get her head around an abrupt divorce, Wendy Scardifeld happened to watch an inspirational interview with thriller author, Lee Child. He explained that he had turned to writing after being made redundant. “It was a light bulb moment for me. If he could do it maybe I could too,” Wendy explained. With her kids away on holiday for a few weeks, she found herself totally alone for the first time in years. Excited by her new-found freedom, she went on a cycling trip in the Swiss mountains and spent time mulling over ideas for her story. She knew that she wanted to create a mystery based on her profession as an agricultural economist. Those that own the food supply are very powerful indeed, and this made for a great concept. When she got back home, she had a solid idea for the plot and set to work writing her novel straight away.
By the time Wendy approached us, she had already finessed the manuscript and been working with an editor for some time. We proofread the text for her, typeset her pages and got the work produced in paperback and eBook form.
“I was most grateful to be guided on the rocky path of publishing by I_AM Self-Publishing. Helpful and patient guidance made the whole process easy and enjoyable. I shall certainly use their services for my second book.” – Wendy Scardifield
