A good author brand has two main aspects:values and identity.

VALUES are the characteristics that you want to impress upon your audience. People should quickly be able to get an idea of what they can expect from you and your work. This can be in the tone of writing, the types of content you create and share, any images, videos or audio you use and how you position yourself.
IDENTITY is predominantly to do with transmitting your values through a consistent visual concept across your whole author platform. How are you seen? The look and feel of your product (book/eBook), website, social media profiles, posters, bookmarks, anywhere that you are reaching out to potential readers needs to be unified and recognisable.

So how do we do this? Quite simply we start by brainstorming the strongest attributes of the book, emotions we want the reader to feel and associations that we want the reader to make. Once we have all these words written down we develop ways to convey them to the reader

The easiest way to explain is by shoing you

SOCIAL MEDIA. We will provide you with ready-to-upload graphics in the correct size and resolution for your Facebook and Twitter profiles (along with instructions on how to upload them, in case you have not done it before) so you are ready to build your online presence.

AUTHOR WEBSITES. Your author website is where you tell the world who you are and what you represent. It is your online business card and shop in one. It is a place where you can interact and connect with your readers (or potential readers) and get them interested in what you are doing. It is also a place where you can collate all your online activity. Therefore, it is crucial that you have a well-designed site that is consistent with your brand. POSTERS. Publicising events is vital if they are to be successful; we create branded posters for signings etc. in A4 and A3 format.

BOOKMARKS & BUSINESS CARDS. It can be useful to have smaller printed promotional materials that you can leave at bookshop tills, libraries etc. We design bookmarks and business cards in the same style as your cover that clearly show people where your book can be bought.
